I can write about pretty much anything. There are topics I know about firsthand; or I can learn everything I need to write about by sitting down and talking to you about it. There is no piece of content too big, too small or too obscure that I can’t make it improve your business.
So, when I say ‘content’ what am I talking about?
- About Me Pages
- Sales Pages
- SEO Friendly Web Content
- Press Releases
- Audience and Social Media Management
All of these are incredible tools to help you grow your business and reach and entirely new audience you didn’t know existed.
Your business is your baby, I get that. It can be hard to let someone else say what you’re thinking. But here’s the thing: what you write is holding you back.
You don’t have the time to sit down, write, test and retest. You don’t have the time to think about which words are going to sell the best. You’ve got a business to run, and everything else that comes along with it.
Copywriting is the one part of your marketing strategy that you should outsource. Because that leaves you to focus your time on what you do best.
Engagement. Emotion. Value.
When someone reads your content, they’re doing three things:
#1: Asking A Question: Whenever someone reads something they’re asking themselves the question, “What’s in it for me?”.
#2: Looking For Why: Businesses don’t read your content, people do. They want to spoken to as a human, from a human. They want to see the truth in what you’re saying. They want to know why.
#3: Searching For Benefits: They don’t want know what you do. They want to know how that makes their life easier.
Good Copywriting addresses all three of these things. And, when you tie them all together, it means there a few major things happen:
- They buy from you
- They’re more likely to buy from you again
- They engage with you and your brand (which builds lots of trust)
- They feel your brand offers them value
- They’ll tell their friends, colleagues or other businesses
It really is amazing what you can achieve with a few small paragraphs of well written copy.
